We are Ascension CPAs & Consultants, a full-service CPA firm located in Oklahoma City, founded by Sean M. Hugo.

After decades of working KPMG Peat Marwick, Devon Energy,  and others, Mr. Hugo decided to return to public accounting and formed Sean M. Hugo, CPA, PC in 2002.

The practice includes consulting with business owners on how to run their businesses more profitably.  Our focus is on reducing the overall tax burden business face and providing management consulting services to business owners.

During his time in the banking industry, Mr. Ward was exposed to several different facets of financial management.  As a Banking Center Manager, he was able to assist clients in determining and managing their fiscal matters.  Mr. Ward moved on from the role of a manager to help provide the bank with credit analysis for their corporate credits.



Cassidi Heltcel

Certified Public Accountant


With 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, Cassidi Heltcel is the Director of Operations and manages the firm's operations and workflows, as well as assists with client budgeting and forecasting, tax preparation, financial advising, and project management. She obtained her undergraduate degree from OU and M.B.A. from Mid-America Christian University.

Regina Hutcheson



With more than three decades of bookkeeping and payroll experience, Regina Hutcheson has training in QuickBooks, QuickBooks online, and payroll services. Additionally, she has the knowhow required to fill Sales Tax, Franchise Tax, and Business Property Tax Returns.



Rachel Ketchie

Rachel Ketchie



Rachel Ketchie attended the University of Oklahoma for three years before transferring to BYU to complete her degree in accounting. Mrs. Ketchie has over six years of experience in the financial services industry. Mrs. Ketchie’s experience also includes  QuickBooks, tax preparation for Individuals, payroll and accounting services for an oil and gas company.
